1. Who is responsible
Elize de Lange, trading as 4 The Love of Maths, Pretoria East, is responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach me on +27 67 000 2643 or at me@elize-online.com.
2. What information I collect
- The learner's name, grade and cellphone number
- The name, relationship to the learner, cellphone number and email address of the person responsible for the account
- Notes on the learner's work and progress in class
- Invoices and payment records
Information about learners under 18 is collected with the consent of their parent or guardian.
3. Why I use it
Only to arrange and give classes, plan work for each learner, communicate with learners and parents (mostly by WhatsApp and email), and send invoices and keep financial records.
4. Who it is shared with
Your information is never sold or used for marketing by others. It is only shared with the services needed to run the business: accounting software for invoices, my bank, and Paystack, which processes card payments securely. I never see or store your card details. Information may also be shared where the law requires it, for example with SARS.
5. How long it is kept
Contact details and class notes are kept while the learner attends classes and deleted after they stop. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.
6. This website
This website does not use tracking cookies and does not collect personal information. If you contact me by WhatsApp or email, those services' own privacy policies also apply.
7. Your rights
You may ask to see the information I hold about you or your child, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Just get in touch. If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you may also complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
