About

Hi, I'm Elize.

I have a passion for mathematics, and for guiding learners who sometimes feel unsure of, or overwhelmed by, the subject. Over the years I've learnt that success in maths isn't only about ability. It's about understanding, patience and consistent practice.

It's a privilege to work with learners, to see them grow in confidence, and to help them make sense of concepts that first felt difficult or intimidating. I enjoy getting to know every learner as an individual, and offering support that fits them.

What the classes aim for

Understanding and application, not memorisation.

01 Understand mathematical concepts better
02 Build confidence in maths
03 Develop problem-solving skills
04 Catch up on gaps, or strengthen what's already there

Classes

Two ways to work together

Group classes

Weekly classes on fixed days during the school term.

  • 4–5 learners per group
  • Groups are formed by available times, not strictly by grade
  • Individual planning for every learner, even within a group
  • Differentiated worksheets and memos
  • Personal support during every lesson

Individual lessons

One-on-one lessons, booked as and when needed.

  • Ideal for test and exam preparation
  • Or for working through a specific problem area
  • Not a fixed weekly option

Fees 2026

Simple, monthly, in advance

Group class fees depend on grade: the senior grades need more intensive preparation, more advanced content and a stronger exam focus.

Group classes are calculated per month from the number of classes in that month. You'll receive an invoice by email, and payment before the month starts confirms your child's place. Individual lessons are invoiced after the lesson.

Good to know

Maths is a process, not a crash course

An A4 file, every week

Each learner needs an A4 lever-arch or ring file used only for extra maths. All worksheets, exercises and memos go in it, so progress is easy to track and nothing gets lost.

Bring school work along

Learners are encouraged to bring their textbooks, notes and test papers. Extra maths supports school teaching; it doesn't replace it.

Help between lessons

Stuck on a specific problem at home? Learners are welcome to WhatsApp me. Where possible I'll give guidance, or we'll tackle it in the next lesson.

Steady effort wins

Regular attendance, hard work and practice are what make progress. Understanding and confidence are built over time. With patience and consistent effort, success will follow.
