1. Payment in advance
Group classes are invoiced monthly in advance by email. The amount is calculated from the number of classes scheduled in that month. Payment must be received before the start of the month to confirm the learner's place.
Individual (ad hoc) lessons are invoiced after the lesson, usually on the same day, and are payable on receipt of the invoice.
2. Lessons missed by the learner
A place in a group is reserved for the learner for the whole month. If a learner misses a prepaid lesson for any reason, no refund or credit is given for that lesson.
An individual lesson cancelled by the parent or learner with at least 24 hours' notice is not charged and can be moved to another time. Cancellations with less notice are charged in full.
3. Lessons cancelled by the tutor
If I have to cancel a lesson, the learner will be offered a make-up lesson, or the lesson will be credited against the next invoice.
4. School holidays
Weekly group classes do not take place during school holidays. Because fees are calculated from the number of classes in each month, holiday weeks are not charged.
5. Stopping classes
To stop classes, please let me know by WhatsApp or email, preferably before the next month's invoice is sent. The learner may attend the remaining lessons up to the end of the month that has already been paid. That month's fees are not refunded, and no further invoices will be sent.
6. When a refund is due
A refund is made where money was paid in error, for example a duplicate payment or an overpayment, or where a credit can no longer be used because classes have ended.
Refunds are paid within 14 days: card payments back to the card that was used, and EFT payments to the account they came from.
